About this session

Participants will learn simple, easy to implement strategies to asses students' understandings of mathematics concepts and skills before , during, and after the lesson. These strategies are designed to help the teacher pivot instruction in real time so that misconceptions, over-generalizations and error patterns do not have an opportunity to become permanent thought patterns! The use of graphic organizers, discussion strategies, and writing prompts will be the highlighted formative assessment strategies in this session.
