About this speaker

Lidia Gonzalez is a professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at York College of the City University of New York. A former NYC public high school teacher, her research focuses on the teaching of mathematics for social justice, the development of mathematics identity, and teacher professional development around these. She is the author of "Bad at Math: Challenging harmful beliefs that hinder equitable mathematics education" published earlier this year by Corwin Press.
