John SanGiovanni a mathematics coordinator in Howard County, Maryland. There he leads mathematics curriculum design, digital learning, assessment, and professional development. John is the graduate program coordinator for Mathematics Leadership at McDaniel College in Maryland. He is an author of more than a dozen books about mathematics education. John also works as a national consultant for curriculum development and professional learning. His published works feature a range of topics including effective fact instruction, Standards for Mathematical Practice, school-based leadership actions, assessment, number sense, and productive struggle. John is frequently a featured speaker at state and national conferences. He is active in professional organizations, recently serving on the Board of Directors for the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and currently on the Board of Directors for the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics.
